This story out of New Plymouth has a thread that is not uncommon. Stuff: 14-Mar-2019Some survey type "action" on an area of vacant land with residential neighbours gets the neighbours upset, because the "action" - the first stages of a proposed development - is the first they have heard of it. This is doubled-down when the neighbours have been enjoying the full and free use of the land - in this case as a park/playground - for a long time. Just because Council or the Developer does not need to consult - is there any harm in keeping the neighbours (at least) informed?
