As an editorial aside - it never ceases to amaze me how often NZ reporters and journalists refer to Land Information NZ as "Linz".....
Surely the abbreviation of any government department or organisation with names-of-many-parts is the sum of their initials. Surely the acronym for Land Information New Zealand is "LINZ". "Linz" is a large city in Austria.

Blame the planning tool.....Embarrassing errors in launch of new combined district plan for West Coast Stuff - Politics: 27-July-2022Embarrassing technical glitches with the maps in the new combined district plan for the West Coast have marred its launch. The admission of errors with the mapping comes after some West Coast ratepayers received letters advising them of new rules coming into immediate legal effect, including landowners who were wrongly advised their land was designated as a “site of significance to Māori” in the draft plan.
