ICS Field Notes Forum - Code of Conduct
1. By posting on the ICS Field Notes Forum you are acknowledging that you have read and agreed to this code of conduct.
2. Anyone can join the ICS Field Notes Forum, participation by non-ICS members from within or outside the surveying profession is encouraged.
3. In order to gain access to the ICS Members Forum section, users must enter their Christian name and Surname as their ‘display name’ under the Profile>Personal menu.
4. Forum users found to be impersonating other forum users or other surveying professionals will be banned.
5. Posts on matters unrelated to surveying are welcome, but should be made in the General Board.
6. Posts that are deemed to contain swearing, or insults whether directed at individuals or indiscriminately at nations, ethnic groups, gender, religions and/or cultures are not acceptable.
7. Posts that are deemed to be slanderous, libellous, or defamatory, or which are deemed to be threatening or to amount to harassment are not acceptable.
8. Posts that are deemed to be critical of other professional bodies, their members, policies or staff are not acceptable.
9. Posts containing advertising for products and/or services are not acceptable. If you or your business wish to place an advertisement on this forum, please contact the Secretary at sec@ics.org.nz
10. Posts should be made in plain English, avoiding the use of acronyms wherever possible.
11. Do not post images to which you do not hold the copyright, or otherwise have permission to use in this way.
12. The moderation team will edit or delete posts that are deemed to be made in breach of the code of conduct. ICS Field Notes Forum users who undertake serious or persistent breaches of the Code of Conduct will be banned from the forum. Complaints regarding moderation should in the first instance be made directly to the moderators by private message. If you are unsatisfied with the work of the moderation team this can be raised with the ICS executive committee, who can be contacted via the Secretary at sec@ics.org.nz
13. The opinions expressed on the ICS Field Notes Forum are those of the individual posters, and do not represent those of the Institute of Cadastral Surveyors Incorporated (ICS).
