An enlightening read from the Stuff website recently: Stuff 24-Oct-2018
For those of us that are a little more familiar with using the NZ Gazette as an information source - this article may not introduce anything "new". But the statement therein that "there's no free way to determine the address from the legal description" is indeed interesting - and true. Although I understand the likely reason (that addresses can change and be ambiguous), from the public's point of view, does the innocuous legal description alone really help the process of easily identifying parcels of land to the layman so they know where it is and if it affects them - without hiring a Surveyor or Lawyer to find out.....
