And how different is what happened in Papamoa from other small towns/villages that had their own character and identify affected by development? Think Wanaka; Akaroa; Hawea; Paraparaumu; Tekapo; Martinborough; Stoke etc.
I guess your point of view may be biased if you currently live there (in Oakura)....
