If you build it then they will come - just don't wait too long to get it finished. People looking to play the real estate market to their advantage have been sideswiped as the delay to the Transmission Gully project and global pandemic complicate house sales for the Lower North Island. ...and I don't think we have heard the last of the Transmission Gully problems. (At least the drone fly-over graphic is entertaining )

Contractors dispute over Transmission Gully settled out of courtStuff - Wellington: 21-July-2023A dispute between the contractors behind Transmission Gully has been settled out of court, two years after legal action began. In 2021, building company CPB Contractors claimed $75 million against engineering firm AECOM New Zealand. The builder of the much-delayed motorway project north of Wellington alleged "defective" bridge and drain designs led to a budget blow-out. A trial, earlier delayed because of pandemic-related backlogs, was scheduled to start last week - but has now been cancelled after the matter was settled on confidential terms. [And will we see a similar track followed with the Puhoi-Warkworth (Northern) Motorway project in time to come I wonder....]
