Plans for three-storey, 150 apartment complex in rural Horowhenua stuns neighbours.Stuff - Property: 3-June-2021Neighbours of a large retirement village in rural Horowhenua are concerned plans to build a three-storey apartment building will impinge on their quality of country life. The rural community of Ōhau is home to the sprawling Speldhurst Country Estate on Kimberley Rd. It is owned by Horowhenua councillor and developer Wayne Bishop, who is seeking resource consent to extend the estate. He plans to build a 150-metre wide, 16.1m high building that will contain 150 apartments.
