The Medium Density Urbanisation of West Coast Towns..... Planners working on subdivision rules for the Te Tai o Poutini Plan are suggesting a new zone for medium density housing for the West Coast, with sections sizes as small as 200 square metres. The plan will replace all the current district plans for Buller, Grey and Westland councils in a single document. “Medium-density zones would be a new thing for the Coast, but there is a market demand for smaller lots for people who don’t want a big section,” lead planner Lois Easton told the committee meeting on Friday. The group meets fortnightly to oversee the creation of the new plan over the next three years. Stuff - National: 16-Sept-2020
