... and assessed as having "No More than Minor Effect"Stuff - Lifestyle: 24-Nov-2020A former classroom awaiting redevelopment next to Terry Grooby's home of 50 years in Motueka is casting a shadow over his final months. Diagnosed with cancer and expected to have fewer than two years left to live, Grooby, 84, wants to enjoy that limited time in his Courtney St home, but says the “monstrosity of a building” on the other side of the fence is blocking most of his sun. It is also causing him to lose sleep. “A month ago, I had a heart attack and that hasn't helped me at all either but I lose a lot of sleep at night – I just can't stop thinking about that mess out there ... it's just not fair.” Grooby said he woke one late winter morning to see the former classroom for the first time dominating the view outside his kitchen window.
