LICENSED CADASTRAL SURVEYOR
Full-time or Part-time position
Access Land Surveying is based in Christchurch. Due to growth in the business they are seeking an experienced Licensed Cadastral Surveyor with a passion for quality work and several years post license experience.
My client’s business is based in Christchurch but undertakes work mainly in Canterbury and Buller and occasionally elsewhere in the South Island. They are well equipped with Trimble gear.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be able to undertake projects from start to finish, deal directly with clients, contractors and local authorities and have good problem solving skills. You will be able to work unsupervised and supervise other staff.
Essential Skills
• Holding a current licence to undertake cadastral surveys in New Zealand
• A minimum of 5 years experience in NZ cadastral surveys
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of risk awareness
• Proficient in the use of modern survey equipment (GNSS, robotic total stations)
• Experienced in 12d Model, Landonline e-surveys and dataset lodgement with LINZ
• Supervising and training staff
• Be able to provide exceptional references who will attest to your achievements and suitability for a role such as this
• Are reliable, and a team player, with a strong work ethic
• Have a high level of integrity, and have excellent communication skills and a sense of humour
• Good spoken and written English
• The ability to communicate well with clients, councils, consultants and contractors and to build these relationships
Advantageous Skills
• Proficiency with Resource consent applications
• Project management experience
• Good understanding of land development engineering
• Experience in 3D Laser scanning
• Experience in UAV aerial surveying
