Pāmu closes road access to Conservation Park because of 'dangerous and disrespectful behaviour'

Pāmu has closed access through its land to a conservation park because of repeated dangerous and disrespectful behaviour by members of the public.
The state-owned enterprise, formerly known as Landcorp, owns Eyre Creek Station near Athol in northern Southland.
It has closed access to the Eyre Mountains via the station indefinitely, from July 5.
The valley, near Athol, is popular with anglers, trampers, four-wheel drivers and horse trekkers and is about an hour from Queenstown and Invercargill.
