Forbury Park in Dunedin is now going to be listed for sale after legal issues have been resolved and it is understood that existing caveats will be removed. While the former harness racing site has undergone a number of subdivisions in the past 20 years (2 of them by us to add to existing adjoining parcels of land), with high water tables in South Dunedin and with sea-level rise to be considered, what needs to be put in place to make future development of the site possible? There is clearly a market for the land and it will be interesting to see what transpires, particularly with the Dunedin City Council still weighing up the options for South Dunedin.
